A Growing Christian

Jesus said, "A man put seed in the earth, and went to sleep and got up.  Night and day, the seed came to growth, though he had no idea how." (Mark 4:26-29)   Nasimolo Johnson is growing in Christ.

University Baptist Church is reading the words of Jesus and seeing Christians grow.  We do not know how the Holy Spirit inspires Johnson to reach students with music. He has sung with us every month since traveling from Kenya to East Lansing.  Johnson has placed his faith in Jesus, on a deep dive into American culture.  Baseball games, apple pie, state fair rides and Big Ten football are some of his learnings.  A grateful church family is seeing his growth in Christ.

Steve Shadrach, in Fuel and Flame provides a profile for a growing Christian:
  1. Engaged in developing a relationship with God through the Word, prayer and faith. (Colossians 2: 6–7)
  2. Observable changes taking place in regard to attitude and actions as a result of application of the Word and/ or conviction of the Holy Spirit (John 14: 21)

Jesus said, "Such is the kingdom of God, as if a man put seed in the earth,".  Johnson has done his part in connecting with a church family in East Lansing.  Night and day, Johnson is advancing a vision to see all peoples of the world know, worship and grow (KWaG) as disciples of Jesus Christ.
