Comic Books and Vision

Comic books were on my mind when I took Richard, a Michigan State University student, out for coffee.  With studies completed, he had to choose his next step.

"If your life was a comic book, would anyone want to read?  God has exciting opportunities in store but achieving them will require faith and courage."

His life has become a great adventure and he gives God all of the glory.  We've stayed in touch and were able to reconnect during my recent trip to Florida.
Richard got married shortly after our cup of coffee.  He and Michele have two beautiful children and exciting careers.  God's hand is on their ministry at City Church, near Orlando, FL.

With deep gratitude, I bowed my head as Richard led us in worship.  He introduced me to Eugene Smith - pastor of City Church - as his college pastor but last Sunday Richard was the shepherd leading us all in prayer.

Seeing him lead worship, his family and his co-workers made me think about that cup of coffee years ago.  The Lord is writing an incredible adventure in Richard's life and it's worth reading.

Richard and Michele are advancing a vision to see all peoples of the world know, worship and grow (KWaG) as disciples of Jesus Christ.
